As a non-profit federal 501c3 organization, we are restoring the Plank Road Station lodge for the purpose of a community center, educational outreach facility, art gallery, and museum.

We are physically located in Winterboro which is approximately 10 miles South of Talladega, 10 miles North of Sylacauga and 9 miles East of Childersburg in Talladega County, Alabama. The lodge sits next to Winterboro School, one of the very few remaining "in use" rock schools. This is a rural area with no town/city support in the immediate surrounding area.

We have Market Day on the 2nd Saturday of the month during the warmer months to help raise funds for restoration projects. We also have an Art Extravaganza on the Saturday before Thanksgiving each year as one of our major fund raisers, a spring art show, and a 4th of July Smoked Boston Butt Sale. Donations are accepted and appreciated. Other fundraisers, including two cookbooks, are also undertaken from time to time.
